
1. What are the criteria to take admission for IMCA, B.Tech, B.Sc (Hospitality and Catering Management), M.Sc (Hospitality and Tourism Management)?
Ans: Integrated MCA:
General Entry: A candidate who has completed (10+2) or its equivalent can enroll for the first semester of IMCA.
Lateral Entry: A candidate who has a diploma in EE, EC, CS, IT or TC from a recognized Technical Board can enroll for the third semester of IMCA.
B.Tech:
General Entry: A candidate who has completed PUC 2 years course/ (10+2) (CBSE/ICSE) conducted by any state with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as one of the languages of study or any other equivalent.
Lateral Entry: Candidate who has a diploma from a recognized technical board is eligible for admission to the third semester.
OR
B.Sc/BCA from any recognized Government university is eligible for admission to the third semester.
B.Sc (Hospitality and Catering Management):
General Entry: A candidate who has completed (10+2) or equivalent in any discipline.
Lateral Entry: 10+2 or equivalent and one year Diploma/certificate programme in Hotel Management from an institution affiliated to a Technical Board or University is eligible for admission to the third semester.
OR
3 years Diploma from any state board or equivalent certificate from any recognized university with one year experience in Hotel/Resort Management is eligible for admission to the third semester.
M.Sc (Hospitality and Tourism Management):
General Entry: A candidate who has completed any graduation from a recognized University.
Lateral Entry: Any Graduate+1 year course in Hospitality is eligible for admission to the second semester.
OR
Any Graduate+3 years Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism is eligible for admission to the second semester.
OR
Any Graduate+3 years Diploma in any State Board and One year Managerial Experience from Tourism and Hotel Management is eligible for admission to the second semester.
2. Is there any age limit to take admission to any of the courses?
Ans: There is no age limit to take admission to any of the courses.
3. Is it compulsory to attend classes that are conducted during weekends?
Ans: It is not compulsory to attend classes. But it is advisable to attend them.
4. Is there any Entrance Test to take admission to any of the courses?
Ans: There is no Entrance Test.
5. Which books do we need to refer to prepare for the Examinations?
Ans: The information will be given in the counseling classes. However the course materials will be provided by SVT to all the students.
6. Can we do Regular M.Tech after doing Correspondence B.Tech?
